Kantian Philosophy Intercultural

The lecture will introduce basic problems of classical aesthetics and moral philosophy in German Idealism and explain them by exemplary texts. Starting from Kant I will show where there are points of contact and where there are differences with Chinese philosophizing. The lecture is aimed at students who are interested in continental philosophy and who are wondering how to place this philosophical movement in an intercultural context. The lecture is designed so that the students get a regular overview of important positions starting from the Kantian philosophy. It is suitable for advanced bachelor students, master students and doctoral students. All lecture texts are provided to the students in an English (or Chinese) version.
