Shanghai Confucian Institute is an academic institution dedicated to the research and dissemination of Confucianism and functions as a university-level research institute of Fudan University. Its mission is to inherit and promote the traditions of Chinese civilization, explore the scholarly spirit of Jiangnan Confucianism, advance the modernization of Confucian thought, and establish the global standing of Confucian philosophy.
