The Exchanging Program between the School of Philosophy, Fudan University and the Department of Humanity Studies, Indian Institute of Technology

In 2019, the School of Philosophy of Fudan University formally signed a five-year Collaboration Program agreement with the Department of Humanity Studies of Indian Institute of Technology, India. According to the terms of the Agreement, the two parties agree to annually send qualified students to each other for exchange and provide the participants from each other with necessary help in accommodation. This agreement will also activate teachers exchange and resource sharing between the two parties. The two parties will send visiting scholars to each other for teaching and research, regularly organize teacher interaction or meetings to promote academic cooperation, and share library equipment.

Indian Institute of Technology, founded in 1951, is a famous and important university known for its strict admission system, outstanding academic performance and excellent social reputation. The Department of Humanity Studies has advantage in Indian philosophy study. The school of philosophy of Fudan University hopes to develop a collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology through this program, so as to train students to become philosophical scholars with both solid academic foundation and broad international vision, and promote the further development of our school in the aspect of Indian philosophy.
