The Erasmus+ Exchanging Program between the School of Philosophy, Fudan University and the School of humanities, the University of Cologne

In 2020, on the basis of a five-yearCooperation agreement signed in 2019, Fudan University formally signed Erasmus+ Program agreement with Cafoscari University of Venice, Italy. Within its validity period, the School of Philosophy of Fudan University and Cafoscari University of Venice agree to annually send no more than 3 students to each other for a one-semester exchange or send no more than 6 students for two semesters. The selected participants are free from tuition fees, application fees, examination fees and other such fees, but are obliged to bear the cost of living expenses, insurances and textbooks or other learning materials required by the other party. After the end of the exchange period, they will receive transcripts in English version from the other party as the proof of their academic completion. Credits obtained from the other party, if complied with relevant regulations, can also be transferred back to their home university. Besides, this agreement will activate the cooperation and exchanging between the teaching and working staffs of the two parties as well.

Cafoscari University of Venice, located in the beautiful water city, enjoys a worldwide reputation for its outstanding performance in teaching, researching and international collaboration, and is especially famous for its Chinese studies. Fudan University and Cafoscari University of Venice have a long tradition of cooperation: Tiziana Lippiello, the current president of Venice university, is an alumna of the School of philosophy of Fudan University and has visited Fudan several times in the past few years. The school of philosophy of Fudan University hopes to further strengthen the collaboration with Cafoscari University of Venice through this program, so as to promote international understanding and provide students(especially who are interested in Chinese philosophy) with a wider range of learning opportunities.
