The Erasmus+ Exchanging Program between the School of Philosophy, Fudan University and the School of humanities, the University of Cologne

In 2019, Fudan University formally signed Erasmus+ Program agreement with the University of Cologne, Germany. This agreement will last 3 years to 2022. Within its validity period, the School of Philosophy of Fudan University and the School of Humanities of the University of Cologne agreed to annually send 3 students as well as 1-2 teachers to each other for a four-month exchange. The selected participants can obtain necessary information and help from the other party in visa, insurance and accommodation so that they can quickly adapt to the local life and focus on studies, they also have opportunities to gain scholarships which can cover part of international travel and living expenses from EU. After the end of the exchange period, they will receive translated transcripts from the other party as the proof of their academic completion. This agreement will also activate the academic cooperation between the two parties.

The University of Cologne, located in the fourth largest city in Germany, enjoys a worldwide reputation as one of the oldest, largest and most powerful universities in Germany, and is especially outstanding in the field of Humanities and arts. The school of philosophy of Fudan University hopes to promote the collaboration with the University of Cologne through this project, so as to train students to become philosophical scholars with both solid academic foundation and broad international vision.
