Representatives from the School of Philosophy Visits Hong Kong and Signs Memorandum of Understanding

To strengthen academic exchange and cooperation between the School of Philosophy at Fudan University and universities in Hong Kong, Professor Zhang Shuangli, Dean of the School of Philosophy, and Professor Yin Jie, Vice Dean, conducted a three-day visit to Hong Kong from November 19 to 21, 2024.

On November 21, Dean Zhang Shuangli and Professor Gu Mingyue, Dean of the Graduate School at The Education University of Hong Kong, signed an academic cooperation agreement. This agreement lays a solid foundation for future collaboration between the two institutions in areas such as research cooperation, student exchange, and joint academic events. It not only deepens the connection between the universities but also provides new opportunities for joint advancement in philosophy education.


In addition, on November 19 and 20, Dean Zhang Shuangli and Professor Yin Jie visited the Department of Philosophy at The University of Hong Kong and the Department of Philosophy at Lingnan University, respectively. The visits aimed to learn from and exchange experiences on the development of courses related to AI Ethics. By engaging with the philosophy departments of Hong Kong universities, the School of Philosophy hopes to explore how to better integrate AI ethics into philosophy education and promote the development of relevant courses.

This visit to Hong Kong not only expanded the School’s network of academic partnerships but also contributed to optimizing the curriculum and enhancing the quality of education. The School of Philosophy at Fudan University looks forward to continuing to strengthen academic cooperation between institutions in mainland China and Hong Kong, and jointly advancing the development of philosophy education.
